The students were taken to Pilikula on the 6th day of SPROUTS Programme. The journey began at 9.30 am. The students were taken to Zoo first where they could see different species of animals. Miss Prashamsa, who is pursuing PHD, gave information about the animals to the students. The students enjoyed watching the various kinds of animals. Later students were taken to Lake garden in Pilikula. It was a beautiful place surrounded by nature. The staffs and the students had lunch in the garden under the open sky.
After the lunch everyone walked towards the planetarium. Planetarium is a different world where you feel you are witnessing the movements of planets closely. Today’s presentation was about Mars, where everyone felt that they were on the Mars. Altogether it was a good experience.
Then the students were taken to Science Center which is surrounded by a beautiful garden. The students enjoyed there playing some fun games related to science. Even the teachers enjoyed playing there. Then they visited Biodiversity section and then advanced technology where students could learn lot more things about Science. Then there was a group photo session.
Then the students and the staffs enjoyed in the garden. Though it was too hot ,the students were active and energetic. The teachers too became students today. It’s so true that we should not forget the child within us . The journey helped everyone to know each other better .It has made the bond even more stronger between the teachers and the students and among the teachers. We reached the College around 5.30 pm. Overall it was a nice experience for both students and teachers.
